HJK Helsinki will face either Polish side Piast Gliwice or Swedish top flight outfit IFK Göteborg in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, if they eliminate PFC BEROE of Stara Zagora today Thursday 21 July.

Victory at home for Helsinki or a goalless draw will see them to the next stage of the competition.

They were held to a 1-1 draw away from home last Thursday 14 July 2016 in Bulgaria at the Stara Zagora Stadium.

Mohamed Medo Kamara will be desperate to see his side joins big names in this seasons’ competition – the likes of Manchester United, Athletic Club, Internazionale Milan, Fiorentina, Celta Vigo, and Feyenoord in the group stages of the competition.

But a tough and tricky test await them later today 18:00 at their Sonera Stadium.

If they are to navigate their way past play-off stage they must show they’re ready for the big names in the competition and ease past their Bulgarian opponent.

The former Bolton midfielder has made 16 Veikkausliiga appearances this season scoring one goal.

The Leone Stars midfielder who departed Bolton after a mutual agreement to cancel his contract is now enjoying his football.

Meanwhile, IFK Göteborg will be looking to finish what they have already started. They thrashed their Polish counterpart (Piast Gliwice) last Thursday 3-0 in the Second qualifying round, first leg away from home.
