Appeals to raise funds for an urgent surgical intervention to save the life of a former national team cook continue to mount.

Yainkain Kargbo was the former chef of the national team under Nahim Khadi over four years.

According to sources in Freetown, She was hit in the eye by a football over a year and her condition has deteriorated. A surgical procedure is now more urgent than ever to save her sight and her life.

Madam Kargbo urgently needs surgery, this means her only hope is to raise money, examine the eye and have the operation performed either in Sierra Leone or abroad.
