John Kamara was delighted with his Keshla FK first Topaz Premier League 2-1 win over Sumqayit FK on Saturday.

The Sierra Leone international, who joined the Azerbaijan top-flight side in January, was making his third appearance.

The result means they moved off the foot of the Topaz Premier table to six positions on goal difference.

Amil Yunanov opens the scoring for the home team in the opening 28th minute but, Afran Ismayilov headed goal cancel Yunanov goal.

The home fought hard with some good defensive display as they tried to avoid third straight defeat.

Nikola Mitrovic scored the winner from the spot to ensure Kesha’s moved away from the regelation spot.

“Was a difficult game, but I am happy we won our first game since joining the team,” Kamara said after the win.

“We just wanted to get the three points today, that was our main objective.”

“This might motivate the rest of the team and let see what happens in upcoming games.”
