Colorado Rapids’ striker Kamara admits difficult start to season

Following Colorado Rapid’s latest heavy 4-1 away defeat to Chicago Fire at SeatGeek Stadium on Saturday afternoon, top striker Kei Kamara has admitted that the start of this season has been tough for everyone at the club.

The Sierra Leone international is Rapids’ top scorer with five goals since joining the club on December 11, 2018.

Kamara recently has moved ahead of Ante Razov in the exclusive Major League all-time top scorer list after netting his 115th career goal against Orlando City in their 4-3 defeat two weeks ago.

They’re first from bottom in the Western Conference standings after eight matches with two points without a win thus far.

The Striker took to his official Instagram page to express his sadness about his new side difficult start to their 2019 campaign.

He posted: “I am not one for inspirational quotes. But this has been a tough start for everyone involve (players, staffs, front office, & supporters). I know it’s cliché to say it’s will turnaround, but I promise you if everyone (above) keeps peddling we’ll all enjoy it when the ride is cruising downhill.”
