  • East End Lions ‘The Killers’ have been confirmed as 2018/19 Sierra Leone League champions.

John Keister’s side has an undefeatable lead at Premier League summit with two games to spear after FC Kallon 1-1 draw against Kamboi Eagles on Sunday.

Coach Keister becomes the first East End Lions manager to claim the title after almost five years without football.

Lions proved they are one of the most decorated sides in Sierra Leone football history, racking up 48 points with a goal difference of +22, after winning 13, drawing nine so far.

Their closest rivals FC Kallon are five points adrift of the champions, who remain undefeated with two remaining matches.

Sierra Leone last edition of the Premier League was suspended through the season in 2014 because of the Ebola epidemic.

The Eastern giants were topping the 2014 campaign prior to its suspension.
