Brazil to face Senegal and Nigeria in Singapore next month

Brazil Football Confederation, CBF announced on its official website two international friendlies next month in Singapore.

As part of the Brazil Global Tour 2019, the first game will be against 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finalists Senegal on October 10, before taking on Nigeria on October 13.

Brazil and Senegal will be the first time the two teams have clashed in senior international football.

It is the second meeting between Brazil and Nigeria after a 3-0 friendly win for the Samba stars in Abuja in 2003.

“We chose two of the best African teams because they are high-level opponents,” Brazil Football Confederation official Juninho Paulista told the country’s association website.

“It was a wish of the technical commission. So we went after these opponents.”

Brazil defeated Cameroon in an international friendly last November after a lone goal from Everton star Richarlison, meaning they will play African opposition three times in 11 months.
