Sierra Leone’s skipper Umaru Bangura gets Covid-19 all-clear

  • FC Zurich defender, Bangura, 33, has departed Niger after being given the all-clear following ten days in self-isolation.
  • Sierra Leone skipper Umaru Bangura, who was diagnosed alongside two others in Niger during Leone Stars friendly test, has recovered from the disease.

His initial diagnosis was confirmed on Wednesday, October 14th. However, on Thursday 22nd, Football Sierra Leone understands that two other tests have been negative.

The Sierra Leone Football Association confirmed the initial positive test news of Bangura, fitness Coach Philli Kor and Head of Communications for the National Sports Authority, Eric Batilo Fomba.

Since then, it is not clear what the situation of the other two as there has been no update from the Sports Ministery or the SLFA.
