Neuchâtel Xamax defender Umaru Bangura has confirmed his unavailability ahead of Sierra Leone friendlies this month.
Bangura was named in the list of 19 foreign-based players for friendlies against South Sudan, the Gambia and Morocco on the 6th, 9th and 12th October, respectively, in Casablanca Morroco.
However, the former Zürich centre back has told ths medium that he is recovering from a muscle strain and a broken finger he sustained in their 3-1 win over Stade Lausanne-Ouchy last week.
Meanwhile, the skipper is not the only player that will be out of matches in Morocco. Genoa attacker Yayah Kallon and Panetolikos winger Jonathan Morsay will not be in the North Africa state of Morocco.
The West African nation played 0-0 in their last outing against Ethiopia at the Bahir Dar International Stadium on 26th August.
Sierra Leone will use matches as preparation ahead of the TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.
