Sierra Leone winger Issa Kallon scored the only goal for his Dutch top-tier side Cambuur as they defeated RKC Waalwijk 1-0 away from home on Sunday.
Kallon’s 63rd-minute winner was his third in eleven outings and was Cambuur‘s second away victory of the season on a visit to RKC Waalwijk.
The team from Leeuwarden already had a chance to score the opening goal in the tenth minute after a violation by Doke Schmidt in the penalty area. However, Robin Maulun saw his penalty stopped by RKC goalkeeper Etienne Vaessen.
Just over an hour of play, Cambuur took the lead when substitute Nick Doodeman laid the ball perfectly for Kallon, who was able to tap in his third of the season from close range.
Cambuur is now eleventh in the Eredivisie, RKC remains fourteenth.
