Peterborough attacker Idris Kanu could make his international debut with Sierra Leone after the second call-up.

Kanu, 21, was named in head coach John Keister 23-man squad and could make his Sierra Leone debut against AFCON Debutant Comoros on Saturday in Turkey.

Sapanca Stadium in Kocaeli city in Turkey will host the friendly International on November 13 2021.

The Sierra Leone Football Association announced a 45-man delegation comprised of 23 players and 22 officials.

He was named in the squad for the first time to face Benin in the final decisive African Cup of Nations Qualify. However, his debut chance was ruined after being named as one of the five players covid positive.

Following a significant covid drama, the fixture was rescheduled from June 14 to 15 after the Confederation of African Football intervention.

Despite Kanu’s absence, his teammate completed the job at the Général Lansana Conté de Nongo on Tuesday June 15.

Meanwhile, Neuchâtel Xamax defender Umaru ‘Zingallay’ Bangura, former Milan midfielder Rodney Strasser and George Kweku Davies, who last played in the Afcon qualifier opener against Lesotho, are back in the side.

Notable absentees are Mohamed Buya Turay, AGF Aarhus winger Mustapha Bundu, Randers striker Alhaji ‘Adriano’ Kamara, Kelvin Wright, David Sesay, RB Linense players Alhassan Koroma and Alusine Koroma.
