In Saudi Arabia – Sierra Leone midfielder Kwame Quee made his debut for new side Najran in their 2-1 away win over Jeddah at the King Abdullah Sports City Jeddah on Wednesday.

Quee, 25, the club’s new acquisition, was pleased after making his first appearance.

The host opens the scoring in the six-minute through Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Fouad and looks set to go into the break with a goal lead before Faisal Al Shammari draw parity in the 45-minute.

After a couple of missed attempts for the home side in the second half, Najran’s Salem Al Saleem scored the winner in the 69-minute.

The host rallied for a late equaliser but to no avail as both teams ended the contest with 10-men.

The victory means Najran up to ninth on the log with 37 points after 27 matches in the ongoing Saudi Arabia second-tier season.

The Sierra Leone international will have the opportunity to play in front of the home fans on Wednesday when Najran host Al Adalh.
