Sierra Leone International Augustine Williams scored a brace as Charleston Battery suffered a 4-3 to Indy Eleven on Saturday in a seven-goal thriller at Patriots Point.
The Eleven tallied four goals in the first half, but the Battery rallied late to score twice in the final 10 minutes in search of levelling the score.
Williams bagged a brace as EJ Johnson scored his first career professional goal.
Indy Eleven opened the scoring through Stefano Pinho in the 21st minute before Manuel Alejandro Arteaga Rubianes’s hattrick.
Battery forward Augustine Williams who was named Man of the Match credited his team mentality to bouncing back from the early deficit.
Charleston will be hoping to build on the positives of their defeat going into their June 11 next Saturday for Pride Night against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
