The Confederation of African Football has appointed Ivorian officials to officiate Thursday’s African Cup of Nations opener against Nigeria and Sierra Leone in Abuja as Ibrahim Kalilou Traore is the centre referee.
His compatriots Adou Desire N’goh, Nouhou Ouattara and Kouassi Francois Biro will serve as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.
Moukaila Nassam Adam from Ghana will be the match commissioner, while Serge Paulin Samuel from Burkina Faso will serve as referee assessor.
Meanwhile, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have been in Abuja since Saturday getting ready to confront their host.
The Super Eagles suffered a back-to-back defeat during their US training camp. They will look to get back to winning ways when they host Sierra Leone in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the Group A opener behind closed doors.
On the 13th, at the Marrakech Stadium in the Moroccan city, São Tomé and Príncipe will host Nigeria as they do not have an approved playing ground in their country.
The same day the General Lansana Conté stadium hosted Leone Stars’ home tie against Guinea Bissau.
