Huddersfield Town has confirmed Sierra Leone native Josh Koroma will stay for another year.
Koroma, 23, who joined the Terriers from Leyton Orient ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, has triggered his option of a further year.
The English Championship side unveiled their retained list for summer 2022, confirming that one-year extensions have been triggered on two key players’ contracts.
“Harry Toffolo and Josh Koroma have had club options for the 2022/23 season exercised on their existing contracts, retaining their registration with Town.
Koroma was Town’s top scorer in the 2020/21 season. Having impressed, he was awarded the number 10 shirt ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The attacker featured in 38 matches in all competitions scoring five goals. Having missed a play-off promotion to the Premier League after their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Wembley, Carlos Corberán’s side will want to use the experience gained in the new season.
