Debut for Mohamed Sankoh in Vitesse’s Eredivisie defeat

On-loan from Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart, Striker Mohamed Sankoh made his Eredivisie debut in Vitesse Arnhem’s opening 5-2 defeat to Feyenoord on Sunday.

The home side took the lead through Manhoef in the 19-minute, but Feyenoord’s Patrik Wålemark drew parity in the 31st minute before Brazilian Danilo Pereira doubled the visitors’ lead in the 41-minute.

Feyenoord took their lead to halftime at the GelreDome arena.

11-minute into the restart, Nikolai Baden Frederiksen levelled the scoreline for Vitesse from an exciting finish before Mohamed Sankoh was introduced to make his debut in the 57-minutes.

Feyenoord scored three more gaols from J. Dilrosun, Danilo Pereira Da Silva and Lutsharel Geertruida in the 61st, 66th and 69th minutes, respectively.

In the next round, Vitesse will visit Excelsior, hoping for a better result. The second league game of the season is scheduled for the Letsch team on Friday, August 12 at 8 p.m. Do you also want to be at the first away game of the season? You can order your tickets here until 10 August.
