The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have confirmed that Leone Stars’ next continental 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier will take place in Agadir, Morocco.Third, in Group A, Sierra Leone will resume action in their race to Ivory Coast 2023 with match-day three against São Tomé and Príncipe on Wednesday, the 22nd of March 2023, with the return leg a few days later.
Sierra Leone’s last outing was a 2-2 draw against Guinea-Bissau. Guinea-Bissau is on four points and occupies second place. Nigeria, who thrashed Sao Tome 10-0 in Morocco Stade d Agadir, top Group A with six points.
Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have been playing its International matches away from home due to a lack of an International stadium. They are among the African nations without an approved stadium.
Meanwhile, MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja is to host group leaders Nigeria’s qualifier against the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau on March 24, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said.
