Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced his final squad for the AFCON qualifiers against Congo. The matches are scheduled to take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha, and away on October 15, 2024.
Attacker Percy Tau is a notable absentee in Broos squad for this month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo.
South Africa currently holds the second position in Group K of qualifiers following their draw against Uganda and their victory over South Sudan last month.
Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau retained their places, while Percy Tau was left out.
Mokoena and Mudau, who have had limited play time for Mamelodi Sundowns, were chosen for the squad. Mudau made his first appearance as a substitute in the win against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium.
