Adil Mohamed Erradi begins preparing Liberia’s game plan for Sierra Leone

Moroccan-Belgian Adil Mohamed Erradi officially started his first training session following his recent appointment as Liberia’s head coach, as he starts to create a game plan for the Lone Star’s next matches against neighbouring Sierra Leone.

The two Mano Rover teams will play one another in FIFA friendlies on the 6th and 9th this month. The initial game is set for the Southern Arena in Bo City; the return match is scheduled for the capital of Liberia.

Stepping in for Thomas Kojo, who had been the Lone Stars’ acting coach, is Erradi. As the Liberia Football Federation tries to advance to the continental level by 2027 in East Africa, he has signed a three-year deal with them.

These friendlies are very important in getting ready for the Africa Cup of Nations campaign scheduled to begin in September.

Born on December 6, 1978, Adil Mohamed Erradi has a long professional career and a UEFA Pro License. Following a trip to Ghana, he started working as an assistant to Juan Carlos Garrido in June 2017 at Raja Casablanca, then in November 2017 became technical director at IR Tanger.

Starting in July 2019, he led APR FC in Rwanda, where he set the national record for the most consecutive unbeaten games (50 matches) and guided the team to three straight league championships: 2019–2020, 2020–2021, and 2021–2022.

Erradi created history in July 2022 by leading APR FC to the second round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League—a major success for Rwandan teams.
