In a Group C match in Kampala on Friday, Guinea and Uganda will face one another for the first time in the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Uganda is playing a West African side for the seventh time. They have defeated Senegal in 2022 and Burkina Faso in 2014. In their most recent games, they have lost to Togo and Côte d’Ivoire and drawn with Mali and Côte d’Ivoire.
