During the game, Kenya struggled against a strong Senegalese team. Although they had a few good moments, they could not score, while Senegal controlled the game throughout.
This loss is one of the hardest for Kenya in recent friendly matches. The match took place at Mardan Stadium in Turkey.
Earlier on Friday, Harambee Stars lost 1-0 to Equatorial Guinea in another friendly match in Antalya, Turkey.
Jose Miranda scored for Equatorial Guinea from a penalty just before halftime, wrong-footing Kenya’s goalkeeper Byrne Omondi.
Kenya’s Jonah Ayunga had a great chance to score first, but the goalkeeper from Equatorial Guinea, Jesus Lazaro Owono, made a fantastic save.
In the second half, Harambee Stars improved and had more possession but still struggled to create clear scoring chances.
Substitute Ovella Ochieng’ brought more speed to the attack, and his cross hit a defender’s arm, but the referee did not give a penalty.
Another substitute, Austine Odhiambo, had a chance to equalize in the 80th minute, but his shot went over the bar after receiving a pass from Rooney Onyango.
